WAA is part of the Allegheny County Midget Football League, which consists of eight local teams: Clairton, Garfield, Hill District, Homewood, Kingsley, Lincoln Larimer, North Side, and Wilkinsburg.

Try-outs are held at the beginning of May each year. Practices begin in March to prepare the athletes for try-outs. Once your child has made the squad, they have the following requirements:
